From the time I was born I ate all types of food and it wasn't until more recently that I switched over to a plant based diet. I've enjoyed cooking and creating recipes for many years, but with the change in my lifestyle, many of my old recipes needed to be taken out of my diet, or adjusted to fit my new lifestyle. With that came a fun new challenge! All the recipes in this eBook are made without the use of meat, dairy, or any animal products. I'm also very passionate about health, fitness, and nutrition, so I added some basic health information in this book as well. I've provided some useful questions and answers below for you regarding my recipe e-Book. Do I have to be a good cook to make these recipes? Absolutely not, I created this book with the intention of keeping things simple and quick. Some recipes are easier than others and some take a little time but they all should be very easy to follow, and the majority of the recipes can be made in just a few minutes. Do I have to be Vegan or on a plant-based diet to enjoy this cookbook? Not at all, although this book doesn't use animal products, it can be enjoyed by all and is a better alternative than using animal products. If I'm on a special diet such as low sodium, low sugar, gluten-free or other special dietary need can I still make these recipes? Yes, I took special care to use ingredients which can be used by people with various dietary needs. You may need to switch an ingredient, or you have the option of omitting or adjusting the ratio of certain ingredients such as salt or sugar to work within your guidelines. Who is this recipe book made for, extremely active athletes or everyday people? This book is made for everyone! I really tried to meet in the middle of these two different sides of eating. I encourage you to have fun with my recipes, try them out, and adjust them to your own personal preference. My goal was to be able to show new plant based eaters that animal free foods can taste great, yet also give long-time plant based eaters or athlete's new ideas for meals as well. Will eating these recipes make me healthy? There are several aspects to being healthy. Eating a plant based diet is a great start but only part of it. You need to consider other aspects of your lifestyle as well. Some of these include exercise, drinking plenty of fresh water, and eating a smart and balanced low fat diet. Some of my recipes include fresh fruit and vegetables in them, but I also encourage you to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables on there own as well. What if I can't find ingredients to some of the recipes? Do you provide alternatives? Some ingredients I use are very common, although some you may not have used before. For the most part I believe you will be able to find them in a store or specialty store, but the Internet is also a wonderful tool to be able to find ingredients and have them shipped directly to your door. I also provide notes to alternatives you can use on many items. Are your recipes considered natural and do you use artificial colors or flavors? Yes they are natural, and no I don't use artificial colors or flavors. I wanted to encourage simplicity and natural foods. Not just in making a recipe, but with what it's made of as well. An example is my hot chocolate recipe. It's only three ingredients, almond milk, cocoa powder, and sugar. Unlike fake chocolate syrup in a bottle, which might contain 10 ingredients, including artificial colors and flavors. How many recipes does your cookbook have? I've provided a broad range of 25 recipes, everything from drinks, smoothies, appetizers, meals, and desserts. Do you have any other health books or information about living a healthy lifestyle? Yes, I have a health book titled "How to Get Ready to Live Healthy and Lose Weight" by Travis Dean. I also have a YouTube channel named "Question Your Food".
